தாயுள்ளம் உனக்கின்னும் புரியாததா

தந்தை இவன் ஆதங்கம் தெரியாததா

மாய்மாலன் இவன் பேச்சில் மயங்காதிரு - குழப்பும்

மன்னவனை பின் தொடர தயங்காதிரு - நெஞ்சே

கண்ணில் துரும்பு விழ இமை பொறுக்குமோ

கரும்புள்ளி உனில் தோய மனம் சகிக்குமோ

நடிக்க உன்னை பாத்திரமாய் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தான் - உலக

அடித்தாலும் அணைத்தாலும் அவனே கதி (Adithaalum anaithaalum avane gathi) Even if He beats me or embraces me, HE is my only refuge அயராதே நெஞ்சே சங்கரனை துதி (Ayaraadhe nenje Shankaranai thudhi) Oh my heart!
