ஏடு தந்து மனத்துள் எழுத கவிதை தந்து

பாடு எனப் பணித்து பரவசத்தில் லயித்து

வீடுபேறு அருள வீற்றிருக்கும் எம்பிரான்

வேதமெல்லாம் போற்றும் பாத ரேகை காட்டி

ஆடுகிறான் பாரடி - எங்கள்

Behold the dancing Lord

ஐயன் சிவசங்கர் மெய்யுருகி நின்று

(aiyan Siva Shankar meyyurugi ninru)

Our Lord Siva Shankar is standing in ecstasy

வாடும் உயிர்களெல்லாம் வலிந்து அருகழைத்து - அவர்

(vaadum uyirgalellaam valindhu arugazhaithu - avar)

And inviting the suffering souls to approach Him,

தேடும் திருப்பதத்தைத் தூக்கி அபிநயித்து

(thedum thiruppadhathai thookki abinayithu)

By lifting His lotus feet in a dancing posture to abide the souls searching for shelter,

ஏடு தந்து மனத்துள் எழுத கவிதை தந்து

(yedu thandhu manaththul ezhudha kavidhai thandhu)

Blessing us by granting the mind and material to write poems

பாடு எனப்பணித்து பரவசத்தில் லயித்து

(paadu ena paniththu paravasathil layiththu)

And inspires us to sing by immersing in ecstasy

வீடுபேறு அருள வீற்றிருக்கும் எம்பிரான்

(veedu peru arula veetrirukkum yempiraan)

The Supreme Lord is seated to grant liberation

வேதமெல்லாம் போற்றும் பாத ரேகை காட்டி

(vedhamellam potrum paadha regai kaatti)

By manifesting the lines in His Lotus feet, as praised in the Vedas!
